Education and Training

operates a full time EDUCATION & TRAINING CENTER at our headquarters at 14 Front Street, Hempstead, N.Y.

We offer a members a comprehensive array of courses including:

Continuing Education Courses

Classes are conducted on a weekly basis 8:30 AM, April 26th through June 28th for required C/E credits in order to renew a license.

This course is conducted by the INSURANCE TRAINING INSTITUTE and complies with the required 15 credits for both LIFE & PC LICENSES.

Cost per student per course:

  • $100.00 for a member
  • $180.00 for non-members

Life Insurance License – N.Y. State

We conduct this 20 hour course on a continuous basis.

Cost is $200.00 for members, $300.00 for non-members.

 

Security Guard Licensing / Annual Mandatory Course

Course offerings:

  • 8 hour pre-assignment course $30.00
  • 16 hour on the job course $90.00 (required 90 days after hiring)
  • 8 hour annual mandatory course. $30.00

Total cost is $90.00 for members, $120.00 for non members

 

Travel Agents Sales and Management Course

Our 30 hour course is essential for anyone who wants to enter the Travel Industry, or start up their own Travel Agency.

In addition we will assist you in finding a sales position, or planning your own agency operation.

Cost is $450.00 for members, $600.00 for non-members.


Business Management Courses

We conduct a number of Business Management Courses which include the following subjects:

  • Administration
  • Value Added Sales Techniques
  • Motivational Training
  • Time Management
  • Business Planning & Financing

Tuition varies depending on the course desired, and members
receive a 25% discount.


Financial Education and Planning

As previously mentioned in American Express’s Portal, they will provide a comprehensive financial education program.

This program brings integrated solutions to participants by collectively educating and guiding them to make better informed financial decisions.

Cost is FREE for members, $75.00 for non-members.


Defensive Driving Course

A course approved by New York State, which makes you eligible for a 10% discount off your Automobile Liability Insurance Coverage.

Cost is $65.00 with a subsequent reimbursement upon completion.
The reimbursement amount is $28.00 for members and $13.00 for non-members.
